Townshend's Method Reinterpreted

Decided to try Pete Townshend's website and redeem
my 3 free portraits. I followed the directions and
recorded a mumbled sleepytime hum for my voice
track. Then I uploaded this jpeg. The system
requested another sound sample for which I recorded
more mumbling and for the final track I tapped out a
polyrhythm. The result was this mathematical
modernist mp3 portrait.
Dissatisfied, I experimented by feeding back the 1st
mp3 portrait into the system by entering portions of
it as the vocal/sound tracks for my 2nd mp3 portrait.
I uploaded this image of the website's interface and
a fragmented mixing of the same 1st mp3 portrait
as the rhythm sample. This was the 3rd result.
Again I was unhappy. However, with the latest of
JohnG's Gospel Emails of the Day playing in the
background I was determined to finish with
something more satisfying. I continued with the
feedback experiment by adding both of the
previous mp3 portraits and JohnG's mp3 as the
sound voice and rhythm samples along with the
title image of this post. I got this.
At that point I was tired and extremely dissatisfied. I
took all 3 mp3 portraits and processed them into this.
After which, I was finally able to end my morning with
a proper sonic portrait.
